Collection: Keum Boo
When you see sections of gold on my earrings, it means I have used an ancient Korean technique called Keum Boo. Layers of 24-karat gold foil are fused to the pure silver over high heat. After careful burnishing of the gold to the silver, the gold becomes a part of the silver on a molecular level. On some pieces I patina the silver to bring it to a dark black, which I think contrasts beautifully with the gold.
